Cookies & local storage
In short: Churchpoint deliberately uses no tracking or marketing cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner to click away here.

Which cookies we set
We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and we embed no services that recognise you across sites. No profiling takes place.
On the website
We only use technically necessary storage that the site needs to run safely, for example local storage in your browser so that you see the intro screen only once. That entry only lasts for the session and disappears when you close the tab. This data stays on your device and is not passed to anyone else.
Your device also keeps the language you picked in the switcher (cookie cp_lang) and whether you dismissed the language hint. Both are settings you made yourself, so the site knows them on your next visit. The cp_lang cookie expires after one year, the language hint stays stored until you clear your browser data. No consent is needed for this and nothing is analysed.
A second cookie is called cp_konto. It is only set when you click a confirmation link for an organiser account: the confirmation code then sits briefly in this cookie. The reason is that some email programs fetch links automatically in advance and would otherwise use up the code before you click it yourself. After 5 minutes the cookie deletes itself. It is httpOnly, so scripts in the browser cannot read it. No consent is needed for this either, and nothing is analysed.
In the app
The Churchpoint app uses no cookies in the classic sense. To work, it stores some data locally on your device:
- Your tickets, so you can find QR codes any time and offline in the „Tickets" tab.
- Favourites and saved organisers, so they stay available.
- Settings, for example the language, the one-off onboarding hint and your consent to email.
This data does not leave your device. You remove it by deleting the app data in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.
The app also counts anonymously how often individual areas are used. Nothing is stored or read on your device for this, only a counter on our own server is increased, without any identifier that could recognise you. Details and the off switch are described under privacy, section 6.7.
Your control
You can view and delete the storage in your browser at any time in your browser settings. Since no tracking technologies are used, no consent is required. Should we use cookies that need consent in the future, we will ask beforehand.
