Accessibility statement

1. Scope

This statement covers the website churchpoint.de and the Churchpoint app for iPhone and Android.

2. State of conformity

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA) and the European standard EN 301 549. By our own assessment, the website and the app are partially conformant: the essential functions are accessible, individual areas do not yet fully meet the requirements. There has been no independent third-party audit so far.

3. Measures taken

• High contrast for text and controls.
• A sensible heading structure and semantic markup on the website.
• Keyboard operation with a visible focus.
• Respect for reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion), animations and videos step back in that case.
• Controls with real icons and meaningful labels instead of pure graphics.
• Support for the device system settings in the app, for example larger text.
• Clear, simple language; the app and the website are available in eleven languages.
• Event sign-up without a user account, fewer form steps, fewer hurdles.
• Tickets work offline, so they also work without a stable connection on site.

4. Known limits

The interactive map view is only partly usable with a screen reader. The list view with the same events is available as an equivalent alternative. Individual areas of the website and the app are not yet fully accessible; we are improving them step by step.

In August 2026 we raised the contrast of buttons, links and hint texts on the website, restored the visible keyboard focus in all forms and added a skip link to the content. The same changes are still pending in the app.

6. Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the German market surveillance body for the accessibility of products and services (MLBF). It checks whether the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act are met.

You can also call in the arbitration body under the German Disability Equality Act. It sits with the Federal Government Commissioner for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, Mauerstraße 53, 10117 Berlin, email info@schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de.
